1. Creating Your Account & Adding Your First Child
Setting up your family takes just a few minutes.
- Go to the Ibilschool sign-up page and choose “Create Account.”
- Sign up with Google, or with your email and a password.
- When asked for your role, choose “Parent.” Other roles — Student, Tutor, Teacher, School — are marked “Coming Soon” and can’t be selected yet.
- As part of sign-up, you’ll add your first child’s profile: name, gender, date of birth, a starting Grade / Year Group, and the subjects and modules you’d like them to follow (e.g. Maths, English, Quran, Sunnah).
- Once your child’s profile is saved, you’ll land on your Parent Dashboard.
2. Adding More Children
Each additional child needs their own profile so their progress is tracked separately. You can add more children at any time from your dashboard.
- From the Parent Dashboard, tap “+ Add Child.”
- Enter your child’s name, gender, and date of birth.
- Select a Grade / Year Group and the subjects/modules you’d like them to follow.
- Save — your child’s profile and dashboard are created automatically.
3. Your Parent Dashboard
This is your home base — a quick, at-a-glance view of how each child is doing.
- Each child appears as a card with a progress bar showing overall progress.
- A “Pending Verifications” section shows completed work that’s waiting for your review.
- Tap a child’s card to see their full progress, subjects, and activity.
4. Curriculum Roadmap & Lessons
Each subject is broken into topics and lessons matched to your child’s grade level for that subject.
- Your child (or you, on their behalf) checks off lessons as they’re completed.
- Progress updates automatically: each subject’s progress is the lessons completed out of the lessons at that subject’s grade level, and the overall percentage on your dashboard covers the subjects your child is following.
- Lessons include short explanations and key points your child can read directly in the app.
- Many lessons — around 300 so far, across Math, English, Science, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry — now open as a full interactive lesson, with extra explanations, worked examples, and hands-on practice beyond what’s on this page, before moving into the quiz.
- All lessons include a short quiz to check understanding before a topic is marked complete.
Setting grade levels for each subject
Every child can be at a different level in each subject — ahead in Maths, for example, while catching up in English. You manage this in Settings → Your Child’s Learning: pick a child, and each subject shows a tick box (follow it or not) and its own grade-level dropdown.
- Default grade level: the dropdown at the top sets every subject at once. Before anything changes you’ll see a summary of what moves up, what moves down, and any subject that keeps its level because it has no lessons at the new level yet. You can still change any single subject afterwards.
- Only available levels are offered: each subject’s dropdown lists only the levels that have lessons for that subject. If a subject has no lessons at its current level, you’ll see “No lessons at this level yet — pick another level.”
- Moving a subject down is safe: you’ll be asked to confirm, and your child’s progress at the higher level is not lost — it’s simply hidden, and comes back if you switch that subject back up.
- Unticking a subject keeps its level, ready for when you turn it back on.
- Moving up when a subject is finished: once every lesson in a subject is complete, a “Move to [next level]” button appears on that subject in the Curriculum Roadmap (parents only), so you can move just that subject up.
Starting a subject over at its current level
If your child would like to start a subject’s current level from scratch, open the Curriculum Roadmap: any subject with progress shows a Reset progress at this level button (parents only). This permanently deletes that subject’s completed lessons, quiz scores and mastery at that level — it can’t be undone or restored. Progress at other levels and Daily Tasks are not affected.
5. Quizzes & Mastery Levels
Quizzes give an automatic read on how well a topic has been understood. Your child has 3 attempts at each quiz, and the best score is what counts — the correct answers are shown after the 3rd attempt. Based on the best score, one of four mastery levels is shown:
- Fail — 0–40%
- Beginner — 41–75%
- Intermediate — 76–89%
- Mastery — 90–100%
Color coding on the Lesson Checklist page
Each lesson on the Lesson Checklist page shows a small colored badge for its mastery level, so you can see how your child is doing at a glance: red for Fail, gray for Beginner, amber for Intermediate, and green for Mastery — with a plain gray badge for lessons not yet attempted. Each topic’s banner shows the same color-coded badge for the topic as a whole.
The row itself is also color-coded by status: an amber background means the lesson is complete and waiting for your verification, and a teal-green background means it’s already been verified. Rows with no color haven’t been completed yet.
When your child wants another try
After all 3 attempts are used, a parent can open the same quiz and tap Allow a retake. This gives 3 more attempts, which open 24 hours after the last attempt — so the answers your child has just seen aren’t fresh in mind. The best score from every attempt is always kept, so a retake can only help, never lower a result.
6. Verifying Your Child’s Work
Verification is what makes Ibilschool trustworthy as a homeschool record — a parent’s confirmation, not just an app score.
- Open the “Pending Verifications” section on your dashboard, or view a subject/lesson directly.
- Review what your child completed.
- Tap Verify to confirm it, or adjust the result if needed before verifying.
- Verified items are marked clearly across the app so progress stays accurate.
7. Task Assignment
Tasks let you assign anything to your child — not just schoolwork — and track it through to completion.
- Create a task from your dashboard and assign it to a specific child.
- Give it a title and, if useful, a short description or due date.
- Each task moves through three stages — To Do, In Progress, and Done — so you can see at a glance what’s outstanding.
- Tasks aren’t limited to academics: use them for chores, Quran memorisation goals, reading targets, habits, or anything else you want to track for your child.
- Like lessons, completed tasks can be reviewed and verified by a parent.
8. Quran Tracker
Track your child’s journey through all 114 Surahs — reading, understanding, and memorising — all in one place.
- Mark each Surah’s status as your child progresses — reading, understanding, and memorising.
- As with lessons, a parent can verify a child’s memorisation or understanding.
- The Glossary lets your child save words they’ve learned, linked to the specific Surah they came from — building a personal vocabulary as they go.
- Both you and your child can add your own notes on any Surah, kept right alongside their progress.
9. Sunnah Tracker
A simple way to build good habits, modelled on the Sunnah.
- Browse the built-in Sunnah Library — over 100 ready-made Sunnahs across categories like Prayer, Charity, Manners, and Cleanliness — or add your own from the “+” button. There’s no limit to how many you can add.
- Sunnahs are grouped as “Currently Following” (active habits) and “On My Radar” (ones you’re considering).
- Rate consistency each week — Consistent, Working on It, or Struggling — to keep a light, honest record.
- A parent can verify a Sunnah once it’s being followed reliably.
10. Video Courses
Alongside the curriculum, Ibilschool now has Video Courses — short, focused video series with a quiz and reflection for each part. Find them under Courses in the sidebar, right under Subjects.
The Quran Summary Course
All 114 Surahs, each explained in a short video in simple English — a clear, engaging way for children (and parents) to understand what every Surah is about.
- Three steps for each Surah: Watch → Quiz → Reflect. The app suggests this order, but no step is locked.
- Quiz: a short multiple-choice quiz on the Surah. The pass mark is 70%, and your child can retry as many times as they like.
- Reflect: your child types answers to a few questions about the Surah’s message, and you can read their answers.
- Learn alongside your child: the “Learning as: Me | [child]” switch lets parents take the course themselves too.
- Parents can verify a Surah’s work, just like lessons.
In sync with your Quran Tracker
The Quran Summary Course and the Quran Tracker share the same notes. Anything you or your child writes on a Surah in the course shows up on that Surah in the Quran Tracker, and the other way round — one set of notes per Surah, wherever you write them.
Try it free, then unlock the full course
- Free to try: Al-Fatiha and all of Juz 30 are open to every family.
- One-time payment, whole family: one purchase unlocks the course for you, your spouse (if linked), and all your children — no need to buy it per child.
- Access while you’re subscribed: the course stays unlocked for as long as your Ibilschool subscription is active. If your subscription ends, access pauses and comes back automatically when you resubscribe — you never need to buy it again.
- Trial families can buy too.
- How to pay: by card at checkout (Stripe internationally, Safepay in Pakistan), or by Easypaisa / bank transfer with your receipt emailed to info@01scl.com — the course is unlocked within 24 hours.
- What your child sees: locked Surahs show “Ask your parent to unlock,” so the decision always stays with you.
More courses on the way
The Quran Summary Course is the first of several. A Salah course — helping your child understand every word they say in Salah — and STEM courses are on the way.
11. What’s Coming Next
Ibilschool is under active, ongoing development. Here’s what’s on the way:
- More Video Courses — a Salah course helping your child understand the meaning of every word they say in Salah, not just recite it, followed by STEM courses.
- A-Level content, extending the curriculum roadmap beyond Grade 10.
- Interactive lessons are expanding to more subjects, including richer activities like drag-and-drop matching, sequencing, and labelled diagrams.
- Note-taking — already available on the Quran Tracker — is coming to lesson pages too, so parents and students can jot their own notes there as well.
- The ability for parents to add their own custom lessons is planned for a future update.
12. Where Our Content Comes From
We know trust matters when it comes to your child’s Islamic and academic education — whether you follow this Islamic homeschool guide full-time or alongside school — so here’s how we approach content:
- Academic lessons follow our own structured curriculum roadmap — not generated on the fly.
- Islamic content, including hadith references, is checked against established sources.
- You are always able to review, verify, or override anything your child completes — the app supports your judgement, it doesn’t replace it.
13. Islamic Homeschool Guide: Frequently Asked Questions
How many children can I add to one account?
There’s currently no fixed limit — add as many as you need.
Can my child sign up for their own account?
Not right now. Only the Parent role can create an account today; your child gets their own profile and login through “+ Add Child.” Student, Tutor, Teacher, and School roles are marked “Coming Soon.”
Can I set a different grade level for each subject?
Yes. In Settings, each subject has its own grade level, so your child can be ahead in one subject and catching up in another. See Section 4.
My child is finding a subject too hard. Can I move it down a level — will they lose their progress?
Yes, you can move it down in Settings, and no, nothing is lost. Their progress at the higher level is kept and comes back if you move the subject up again.
My child has used all 3 quiz attempts. Can they try again?
Yes. Open the same quiz and tap Allow a retake — your child gets 3 more attempts, opening 24 hours after their last one. The best score is always kept. See Section 5.
Can my child start a subject again from the beginning?
Yes — use Reset progress at this level on that subject in the Curriculum Roadmap. Note that this permanently deletes the subject’s progress at that level and can’t be undone.
What can I use Task Assignment for?
Anything — chores, habits, reading goals, one-off reminders — not just academic work. See Section 7.
What if I disagree with a quiz result?
You always have the final say. Every automated result can be manually reviewed and overridden by a parent — see Section 6.
Can I add my own lessons?
Not yet — this is planned for a future update.
How do I switch between my children?
From your Parent Dashboard, tap any child’s card — you can switch between children at any time.
Is a teacher included?
Not by default — but you can give a teacher access to your child’s account. They’ll have a complete structure and material ready to teach from.
Can I use it on my mobile?
Yes, Ibilschool works on mobile, but for the best experience we recommend using a desktop or laptop.
Are there video lessons?
Yes — Video Courses are now live, starting with the Quran Summary Course, with Salah and STEM courses on the way. See Section 10.
Do I need to buy a course for each child?
No. One purchase covers your whole family — you, your linked spouse, and all your children.
What happens to a course if my subscription ends?
Course access pauses while your subscription is inactive and comes back automatically when you resubscribe — you don’t need to buy it again.
Can I try a course before buying?
Yes. In the Quran Summary Course, Al-Fatiha and all of Juz 30 are free for every family.
Is this like Khan Academy?
Khan Academy offers lessons and quizzes, but Ibilschool gives you a complete structure and a single dashboard to manage everything, plus full Islamic integration alongside the academic side.
What are the class timings?
There aren’t any — Ibilschool runs entirely at your own pace, and most families move through material much faster than a regular school schedule.
Which curriculum is Ibilschool affiliated with?
It’s designed to work alongside most major curricula. Our roadmap is aligned with Cambridge, but you’re not restricted to it.
My child already goes to a regular school — can they still use Ibilschool?
Yes, absolutely — this is exactly where Ibilschool shines. It gives kids who are already in school a real Islamic edge alongside their regular studies: solid Quran and Sunnah grounding plus extra academic practice, delivered through interactive lessons and progress tracking that make learning genuinely engaging rather than one more chore. Many families use it evenings, weekends, or over school breaks to build on what school already covers.
