The Quran is considered the book of guidance and holds a special significance in the hearts of Muslims worldwide. It is considered the foundation of Muslim belief and practice. Yet, very little attention is given to it while teaching kids.

One of the reasons why many parents choose to outsource the teaching of the Quran to a Qari (Quran teacher) is that they believe it is the Qari’s responsibility. However, it is important to note that as parents, they have the primary responsibility of educating their children, including their religious education.

While it may be true that a Qari possesses a higher level of expertise and knowledge in teaching the Quran, parents should not underestimate their own abilities. With the resources available today, parents can educate themselves about the Quran and its teachings, and then pass this knowledge on to their children.

Furthermore, in some families, parents might not have enough time to teach Quran themselves as they are busy with their professional or other personal responsibilities. But it’s important to remember that no one knows their child better than themselves and they should make time for their child’s religious education.

In conclusion, while hiring a Qari can be beneficial, it is ultimately the responsibility of the parents to be involved in it. I’m planning to launch a program at (01scl) which will track the progress of the Quranic learning. It is an important responsibility that should not be taken lightly.
